The Bridge is the heart of The Sound Box Recording Studio. As our flagship control room, it's where both of our head engineers—Rich and J. Limm—primarily work and where all mixing and mastering takes place.
This space is acoustically treated and fully outfitted with high-end hardware and software to ensure the highest quality production. Gear highlights include three UA Apollo x8p interfaces, a UAD-2 Satellite, the Dangerous D-Box for analog summing and monitoring, and the Rupert Neve Designs Portico II Master Buss Processor, among others.
The Bridge can handle virtually every service we offer—including recording, mixing, mastering, and technically even podcasting.
But don’t tell The Sound Lounge—it gets jealous.
In addition to the powerful hardware, The Bridge is loaded with access to major professional plugin suites including Waves, UADx, Universal Audio, Native Instruments, Slate, Melodyne, Auto-Tune, and other industry-standard tools. Whether you’re after a polished vocal chain, analog-modeled processing, or intricate sound design, we’ve got the tools to deliver.
We can run up to 24 mic/line inputs simultaneously from any of our connected performance rooms, making this room perfect for everything from solo tracking to full band sessions. With Universal Audio’s Unison™ preamp technology, you can record through iconic analog-modeled channel strips like the Neve 1073, SSL E-Series, Avalon VT-737sp, and more—right from the source.
Don’t let the name fool you—Studio 5 started as an inside joke, but it’s grown into one of the most versatile rooms in the building.
Originally our main control room, Studio 5 was rebuilt in 2022 to support in-house production and songwriting with YellaBro Ent. Since then, it’s evolved into a fully outfitted control room used for recording, editing, and pre-mixing sessions with professional-grade flexibility.
Now equipped with a Universal Audio Apollo x8p and a fully integrated Behringer Q Personal Monitoring System with talkback, Studio 5 allows for smooth session flow and real-time communication—no matter where you're tracking. This room is fully connected to our dedicated vocal booth, The Sound Lounge, The Bridge, and our large live room, offering seamless routing throughout the entire studio.
You’ll have access to our complete plugin arsenal—including Waves, UAD, and UAx—making it easy to shape your sound from the very first take. Whether you're laying down vocals, tracking instruments, or building a demo from scratch, Studio 5 delivers professional quality in a focused, creative environment.
We can track up to 8 simultaneous mic/line inputs in Studio 5, giving you just the right capacity for solo sessions, small group recordings, or tight vocal stacks.
At the end of your session, you’ll receive:
-
A clean pre-mixed version of your recording
-
A Pro Tools session file or stems to take elsewhere or bring back to The Bridge for mixing and mastering with Rich or J. Limm
Studio 5 is where workflow meets creativity, and where big ideas take shape—with pro tools, pro sound, and no ego.
The Sound Lounge is our one-of-a-kind podcast recording space—designed for creativity, connection, and conversation. Whether you're launching your first show, recording a group discussion, or building a brand, this room is ready to help you sound like a pro.
